The client ‘s original retaining wall had failed by poor design and a growing tree! The wall was 12 feet high but not very wide so I elected to dismantle the bricks and install a new foundation to allow for the wall to go back up with 2 x brick buttresses to bear the lateral load of the higher ground.
I was pleased with the tumbling in of the bricks on top of each buttress on this one.
