The client wanted to remove an external door along their passage way to exclude draughts and warm up the house. The original door next to the window was removed and timber studs put up on a DPC with a breather membrane. Cement sheets were then fixed to the outside and rendered with K-Rend to allow for the passage of moisture from the fabric of the wall. A vapour barrier added to the inside before installing insulating plasterboard and skimming.

Hallway now warm as toast!
