The client, my mum, wanted to replace their old cracked driveway with something larger for four cars. We widened the entrance and installed drainage at the back alongside a new wall connected to a soak-a-way. Excavations were 200mm (8″) with compacted road base. Perimeter edging done with Tegula paving bedded on concrete and back filled with compacted grit sand and levelled to the fall. Block paving then installed. That’s her on the shovel and digger…some gal at 72! R.I.P. mum.x
