Any wall is only as good as it’s foundations so all excavations and concrete founds are done according to building regulations ensuring any masonry structure will last over a lifetime.
There is nothing like the time honoured tradition of brick work although relatively rare in Cornwall. English/Flemish/ Honeycomb bonds with corbelling and tumbling are undertaken for a beautiful traditional appearance.
Cornish stone, granite and slate are a mainstay of our work sourced from local quarries whether to face block work on a new build or a boundary wall.
Concrete blocks are the most economical whether 4″, 6″ or hollow block and are often rendered with sand and cement for a pleasing contemporary finish. Rendering is a skill that I have honed after many years whether it is sand and cement, lime or the latest silicone renders.
